Allow us to take the time to say: that’s awesome. We here at Spandexless have a love for the medium, and without you enabling us, we’d be lost. Going further and providing us with material for review is great for us–and hopefully, great for you too.

Any arrangements for review copies should be made through our Managing Editor, Beth Scorzato. You can reach her at partners@spandexless.com. She would be happy to discuss your books and which ones we might be interested in reviewing. While we will always accept physical copies, we also love digital copies as they are easier to distribute to our reviewers. We of course treat such files as confidential and will not distribute them to anyone beyond those necessary to reviewing it.

Acceptance of review material DOES NOT guarantee a review.

The benefits of sending review material to Spandexless: If we do decide to review your submitted material (solicited or otherwise), we will provide a few things in our coverage:

1) A concise, well-written, “close reading” review of the material
2) A frank and open discussion about your work
3) Information on how people can easily purchase your work

There are a few things to remain conscious of, however. First, here at Spandexless, we believe that we should tell people about books we actually wanted to read, not books we read just because we were assigned them. This is not high school. We will try and make it clear what books we are interested in if you open a dialogue, but not every book will necessarily be for us.

Second, please keep in mind the mission of our website. We are dedicated to featuring non-superhero comics. If we feel that your book does not fall within our guidelines, we will not review it. Furthermore, we will not sugar-coat our review; we believe in honesty in our reviews, and we will speak honestly to that end. We will not accept compensation for reviews, beyond the review material itself.
